Race Regulations

I. Competition Rules

1. Check-in & Wave Starts

Note: Participants are advised to arrive at the venue 45 minutes before their respective start times.

(1) Check-in:

  1. Staff will verify identities (Race Bib, Wristband) and confirm assigned Wave Starts.
  2. Referees will conduct spot checks on Mandatory Gear.
  3. If any mandatory items are missing, the participant must supplement them as required; otherwise, referees reserve the right to disqualify (DQ) the participant.

(2) Start Arrangement:

  1. The race uses a Wave Start format.
  2. Waves are generally sequenced by distance categories.
  3. Priority for front-row positioning in each wave is given to Elite runners and invited guests.
  4. Invalid Starts (e.g., starting in the wrong wave, starting 15+ minutes late, bypassing check-in or the start corral) will result in post-race disqualification and potential additional penalties.

2. Timing Rules

  1. Timing Chips: Disposable chips are integrated into the bibs. No deposit is required, and chips do not need to be returned.
  2. Wearing: Chips must be worn on the front of the body, clearly visible at all times.
  3. Timing Points: Timing carpets or handheld devices are located at the Start, Finish, and Checkpoints (CPs). Participants must cooperate with staff to ensure successful scans. Temporary timing points may be added without prior notice.
  4. Validity: Participants must pass all timing points in sequence. Missing any point will result in a "No Result" status, disqualification, and no finisher certificate or medal.
  5. Missing Records: Claims for missing records must be submitted within 48 hours after the race ends, supported by valid proof (e.g., GPS track, photos at CPs).

3. Results & Ranking

  1. Certificates: Finisher Certificate (for finishers); DNS/DNF Certificate (for non-finishers).
  2. Ranking: Based on Net Time.
  3. DNS: Participants who fail to start within 15 minutes of their wave's gun time will be marked as DNS (Did Not Start).
  4. Family Category: Ranking is based on the child's time, provided the gap between the child and the accompanying adult does not exceed 2 minutes.

4. Cut-off Rules

  1. To ensure safety, Cut-off Times are enforced at various CPs. Once the cut-off time passes, station services will cease.
  2. Participants must exit the CP before the cut-off time.
  3. Participants failing to meet the cut-off must retire and take the provided Evacuation Vehicle to the finish line.
  4. The Committee reserves the right to adjust cut-off times due to weather or Force Majeure.

5. Withdrawal (DNF) Rules

  1. Failure to check in/start within 15 minutes = DNS.
  2. Missing mandatory gear or refusing gear checks may lead to Forced Withdrawal.
  3. Participants must withdraw at official CPs (except in case of emergency injury).
  4. If withdrawing between stations, proceed to the nearest CP.
  5. Medical and rescue staff have the authority to mandate a participant's withdrawal based on their physical condition.
  6. Withdrawn participants must allow staff to mark their bibs and wait for the evacuation vehicle at designated spots.

II. Penalties

Violations will result in oral warnings, time penalties, disqualification (DQ), or a ban from future races.

  1. Oral Warning: Issued for minor/unintentional fouls that do not result in an unfair advantage.
  2. Time Penalties:
    • 1 Hour: Missing secondary mandatory gear (Power bank, whistles, first aid kits, etc.); ignoring referee instructions; receiving unauthorized external aid.
    • 2 Hours: Disrespectful behavior; failing to assist a runner in distress.

  2. Gear Change (100km): Specific drop bag points are provided for the 100km category. No valuables/flammables allowed.
  3. Course Navigation: Participants must follow official markers (ribbons, flags, reflective tape). If no marker is seen for 200m, check the GPS track and backtrack.

  6. Force Majeure & "Meltdown" Mechanism:
